Official parking for the event is located at the W. Washington St. entrance. Parking is $10.

Costume Contest

All festival attendees who come in costume are eligible to compete in our costume contest. Registration for the contest will be from 3-4pm at the Welcome Tent. A parade to the main stage will start at 4:45pm at the Welcome Tent and all contestants will get their moment onstage starting at 5:00pm. Contest winners will be announced from the main stage at 5:30pm

Taco Eating Contest

In order to be considered for the taco eating contest, please submit a video audition showing how many tacos you can eat in 3 minutes. You can post the video to social
media and tag @stltacofest or e-mail it to us at: and we will post all qualifying entries to our social media. - Taco eating contest contestants will be announced a week before the event.

Salsa Dip Contest

Restaurants and Vendors in attendance are able to enter their salsa in our Salsa Dip Contest. Registration for the contest will take place prior to the event. Contest will take place at 1:00pm on the Klance 2nd Stage. The winner will be given a shout out on the Quirk Main Stage.

Best Taco Spot Contest

All taco vendors at the event are automatically entered into the Best Taco Spot Contest. We have anonymous judges who will be trying out all the spots, but guest feedback is very helpful so be sure to shoutout your favorite tacos on social media on the day of the event and make sure to tag @stltacofest. Best Taco Spot will be announced the day after the event and presented with their award. Announcement will stream live on social media.

Do I need to buy a ticket to attend the event?
No, this is a FREE event for all ages
Will I be able to purchase VIP tickets at the event?
Yes, VIP tickets are available to purchase online here or you can buy them (where) on
the day of the event
Why are the VIP tickets 21 and over?
These tickets feature a number of giveaways and extras but a considerable part of the
value comes from the Drink Tickets and Tequila Sampling. In effort to not diminish that
value we have reserved sales of VIP tickets to guests 21 and over.
Is this a family friendly event?
YES! Tacos are fun for all ages and we even have a special Kids area with Carnival
Games, Face Painting and Special Photo opportunities.
Where do I park?
There is parking available at the festival site and is $10 per car. Parking is first come, first
serve and there is no free re-entry for people who leave and come back later in the day.
If you don’t mind walking, there is also parking available in the surrounding community.
Are dogs allowed?
Unfortunately not. Only service dogs are permitted on the festival grounds.
What if it rains?
This is a rain or shine event. All VIP ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

Are we allowed to bring a cooler?
No, coolers will not be permitted at the festival. If you bring one you will be asked to take it back to your car. Exceptions will be made for small coolers containing baby bottles.
